January GITC Business Meeting Minutes

January 17, 2007

Old Business:

Joe:
-Went over Treasurers report dated 1/9/07.
-Dues due by end of Feb.
-$12 single
-$18 couple/family
-If dues are not paid, membership revoked

Lea:
-Darien Blessing of the Fleet Run. We are helping with
finish line AND registration for a total of $200

Mike:
Bridge Run:
-Chamber and Hospital are helping with race; in charge of sponsors.
-Liberty Harbor may provide entertainment
-Hospital is running a weekly add in newspaper for the race
-Hospital is in charge of awards
-Lea is in charge of restroom facilities
-In process of contacting someone about Pepsi Rep.
-T-shirts due by Feb. 1 to printer
-Need parking volunteers
-Finish line volunteers taken care of
-Bob and Anne coordinating food
-Need volunteers for waterstop at end of bridge
-Need course monitors on top of bridge
-Joe will do awards ceremony
-Volunteer sheets passed around

New Business:

Lea:
Runners World featured a friend from NYC Marathon

Letter is going out to all current members to pay dues by Feb. 28

-Fund pot is low so we will cut back on spending

-APPROVED:

Dinner provided by club at monthly business meeting will be suspended for six months. A name will be drawn at each meeting instead. If your name is chosen, then the club pays for your dinner. We will visit this issue after the Fourth of July race (7/4/07)

APPROVED: Needs $100 to buy safety cones for club
